Increasingly, entry level positions in the workforce in the Cayman Islands require higher levels of education.
Passport2Success is a new incentive based national qualification framework, which provides education, training and employment opportunities to under achieving school leavers. The programme is organised by the Cayman Islands Government Ministry of Education, Training and Employment.
The Passport2Success is a full time, 11 week programme, the first of which started on 19th April 2010. Each participant gets their own passport, and earns stamps in their passport for successfully completing parts of the programme.
Milly and Ciara from SteppingStones are delighted to have had the opportunity to support the programme and offered workshops for the 25 participants focusing on resume writing; dressing for success; interview skills; and pride in performance. The format of the workshops was an initial classroom style presentation, followed by rollplays and one-on-one advice and support for the students.
We look forward to playing an active role in the Passport2Success programme going forward.
