21st November 2009 saw the return to the North Sound Club of many of the islands best golfers for the annual President’s Trophy competition organised by the Cayman Islands Golf Association. SteppingStones’ Training professional Emma Woodhouse , the reigning 2008 ladies champion, defended her title bravely . The standard of competition was high, with a number of very good scores recorded and she eventually missing out on retaining the trophy by one shot.
Despite being disappointed to have lost she was able to take a couple of positives out of the day :– shooting her lowest ever gross score of 85 and wining a “nearest the pin” prize on the 11th hole – a notoriously tricky par 3.
