SteppingStones was delighted to receive a Good Citizen Award from the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce. Managing Director, Milly Serpell attended the Annual General Meeting of the Chamber on 25th November and collected the award, which was given in recognition of her contribution and support of the programmes and events of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking to award recipients Chamber President Mr. Stuart Bostock said.”The Chamber’s success is entirely dependent on the active involvement of the membership. I would like to thank all members who have participated actively by attending events, volunteering to serve on a committee or supporting programmes and events through sponsorship and attendance. Each has a role to play for the ongoing success of the organisation and I would challenge you to continue to support the work of the Chamber. This year we were able to donate over $18,000 to local charities, we were able to accommodate more of our islands’ youth in our educational programmes and we started many new initiatives to benefit the community, business and the environment”.
SteppingStones has supported a number of events over the past year including the Road & Beach-side clean up and two large exhibitions. “This is the second year in a row that we have won this award and we are really pleased to be recognised in this way.” said Milly Serpell. “We are looking forward to getting involved in the opportunities planned for next year and in strengthening our partnership with the Chamber.”
